Best Tax Software for Digital Nomads in 2025

Navigating U.S. taxes as an expat or digital nomad can be challenging due to unique filing requirements and regulations.

Most readers probably know about mainstays like Turbo Tax and H&R Block. But did you know that a few companies sell software specifically geared toward digital nomads, expats, and other U.S. taxpayers living overseas?

  • MyExpatTaxes: Priced at $153, this platform offers a user-friendly experience with features such as state filing, Foreign Earned Income Exclusion (FEIE), Foreign Bank Account Reporting (FBAR), and access to tax accountants.

  • Expatfile: At $119, Expatfile provides services including FEIE and FBAR filings but does not support state filings.

Over 70% of U.S. taxpayers are also eligible for free tax software (based on adjusted gross income of $84,000 or less for 2024), although this route lacks many expat-specific features.

Nomad Deals' comprehensive tax software guide evaluates top tax software options tailored for Americans abroad, focusing on factors like pricing, features, and user satisfaction.

Starting your nomad journey, or just need a break from the cold? Either way, we’ve got you covered with flight deals. From last-minute steals to hidden budget-friendly routes, here’s what’s on our cheap airfare radar for March.

Latin America

Once again, the cheapest flights from the U.S. to Latam are dominated by Guadalajara, MX and Mexico City. Flights to the Colombian cities of Cartagena, Barranquilla, Cali, and Bogota are also good deals.

Asia

For much of the last year, flights to Tokyo and Seoul have stood out for their relative cheapness. This month looks more mixed, though. Flights to Bangkok and Manila are plentiful, and U.S. travelers can also snag inexpensive fares to up-and-coming hotspots in Vietnam such as Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

Europe

Thanks to low-cost airlines like Norse Atlantic, U.S. travelers can snag relatively affordable direct fares to Europe. Use local budget airlines like Wizz and eastJet to get to your final destination.
