Best Travel Deals for Summer 2024

Didn’t book your summer travel yet? Luckily, you can still score a deal.

Kayak’s new Summer 2024 report shows where prices have fallen from last year. Here are the key highlights:

• Searches for Beijing and Shanghai have surged, up 144% and 87%, respectively. Rounding out the top five are Hong Kong, Lima, and Tirana (Albania).

• The cheapest international flights from the U.S. can be found to Toronto ($371), Guadalajara, MX ($375), Montreal ($456), Calgary ($458), and Mexico City ($479).

• International destinations with major flight price declines from the U.S. include Oaxaca, MX (-27%), Belize (-24%), Costa Rica (-23%), Sydney, Australia (-22%), and Belfast (-20%).

• For international flights (see the chart below), prices will peak throughout June before sliding to a low around August 18.

The Most Affordable U.S. Cities for Nomads

For the most part, the U.S. is not not the Land of the Free, but rather, the Land of the Expensive.
