• Domestic flights: Prices are lowest 38 days before departure, with a range of 21-52 days.

• International flights: Prices are lowest 101 days before departure, but don't drop significantly after 50 days.

• Seasonal flights: For Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring break, and summer vacation, prices are generally lowest 45-58 days before departure.

• Europe: Prices are lowest 94 days before departure, but don't drop significantly after 50 days.

• Mexico/Caribbean: Prices are lowest 44 days before departure, with a range of 26-68 days.

• Day of week: Booking on Tuesday is slightly cheaper than Sunday, but savings are minimal.

• Days to fly: Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday are cheaper than Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

• Layovers: Flights with layovers are typically 25% cheaper than nonstop flights.
