2025 Digital Nomad Calendar

Keep these key dates in mind as you plan next year’s journey 📆

Spain Golden Visa

In November, the Spanish government announced that it would end its real estate-based golden visa in January 2025. The popular program extended residency in exchange for a €500,000 real estate investment.

Taiwan nomad visa

Taiwan’s government recently announced plans to launch a six-month digital nomad visa in January 2025. Although application requirements remain unknown, we expect they will be similar to Taiwan’s existing “Gold Card” program for highly skilled professionals.

Nomad visas

Many one-year digital nomad visas (e.g. Estonia) begin on January 1.

U.S. Inauguration Day

At this point, we can only speculate about potential changes to U.S. travel or visa policy by the new administration. That said, international students and visa holders from select countries may want to consider entering the U.S. prior to January 20.  

Chinese New Year

Asia’s busiest travel season (especially in China) runs from February 17-23.

Rio Carnival/Carnaval

Several major cities in Latin America will swell with tourists from February 21-25, including Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Barranquilla, Colombia. Be sure to book accommodations, if you haven’t already.
