Remote work essentials
A portable monitor will keep you productive while on the road.
Once you start living the nomad life, it’s critical to stay productive. The lightweight KYY portable monitor, with over 9,000 reviews on Amazon, now retails for $69.99 — a 46% savings for Black Friday.
You might also consider a Nulaxy laptop stand (now $22.93) and a separate Lisen stand (62% off, or $9.49) for the portable monitor. As for your keyboard, ditch the bulky plug-in device and snag a wireless Logitech K380 for $31.98
Gear and gadgets
The WACACO espresso is frequently mentioned as a must-have on nomad travel forums.
The beauty of the Marchway chair (on sale now for $27.99) is that it only takes up two pounds in your luggage. Some reviewers criticize the build quality, but it has supported my butt for two years. Another r/digitalnomad Reddit favorite — the WACACO portable espresso maker — looks tempting at $43.92 for Black Friday.
When it comes to packs, weekend airline warriors will love the Rinlist travel backpack at $28.49. This inexpensive bag is designed to fit under an airline seat while maximizing the available space. Nomads hauling their computer gear might also appreciate Alienware’s padded, roomy laptop bag listed for $79.99.
This inexpensive bag will fit under an airplane seat while maximizing space.
Worried about pickpockets? Consider a cheap burner smartphone with a local SIM card for day-to-day use, especially at crowded events. The Xiaomi Redmi works well for this purpose. It’s fast and features a long battery life, and at $145 for the entry-level 10 series, it doesn’t break the bank.
Stocking stuffers
Now if we’re looking on the very cheap end of the spectrum, sites like Temu offer a few small knickknacks that travelers and nomads will like. Check out a small carrying case for your transit cards ($1.94), SIM card holder ($1.99), passport holder ($2.73), and organizer for foreign currencies ($8.78).
